If you want us to forget you, we'll forget you. Here's how — two ways to reach us, and what happens after. This page also satisfies Meta's Platform Policy requirements for a data-deletion flow, and the applicable data-protection laws we're subject to.
How to Request Deletion
If you have messaged the FABRIENDZ Facebook Page through BondhuBot, you can request deletion of your data through either of the following methods:
- Email us directly at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include your Facebook name so we can locate your conversation.
- Message the FABRIENDZ Page on Messenger and ask for your data to be deleted. BondhuBot will route the request to us.
Separately, if you initiate a data-deletion request through Meta's own privacy tools, Meta will notify us through our registered Data Deletion Callback and we will process the request the same way — see below.
Facebook Data Deletion Callback
BondhuBot implements Meta's Data Deletion Request Callback. When Meta notifies us of a deletion request on your behalf, we process it within 48 hours and return a confirmation URL where you can check the status.
Technical Implementation
Our data deletion callback endpoint is registered with Meta at:
- Callback URL: https://api.bondhubot.com/api/v1/meta/data-deletion
- Status URL format: https://bondhubot.com/deletion-status?id={confirmation_code}
What Gets Deleted
- Your Facebook User ID (the page-scoped identifier we use to recognise you)
- The conversation history between you and the FABRIENDZ Facebook Page
- Profile information we received from Facebook (name, profile picture)
- Personal information (name, phone, address) on any orders, complaints, and returns you made — this is scrubbed from those records
- Any personalisation built up from your past chats
What We Keep
- Transaction records — order date, items, and amount — retained as required by Bangladesh tax, accounting, and legal compliance. Your personal details on these records are scrubbed, so the entry stays but cannot be linked back to you.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
- Data we still need to finish an order in progress (for example, a delivery we haven't completed yet). Personal details on these records are scrubbed automatically once the order is delivered or cancelled, typically within an hour of state change.
- Anything we are legally required to keep for a court order or regulator request.
Processing Timeline
- Deletion requests: processed within 48 hours
- Legal hold exceptions: data retained only as long as legally required
You will receive confirmation via email once the deletion is complete.
