Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BondhuBot, a product operated by Bondhu Labs. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Definitions

• "BondhuBot" / "the Service" — The AI-powered customer support tool Bondhu Labs operates on its own Facebook Page.
• "You" — A customer who interacts with Bondhu Labs' Facebook Page via Messenger.
• "Content" — Any data, text, images, or materials exchanged through the Service.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BondhuBot to:

• Send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content outside Meta's messaging policies
• Violate any applicable laws or Meta's Platform Terms
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Distribute malware, phishing content, or harmful code
• Exceed rate limits or attempt to abuse system resources
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of BondhuBot
• Resell or sublicense access without a written partnership agreement

3. Facebook Platform Compliance

BondhuBot integrates with Meta's Messenger Platform. You agree to comply with:

• Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies
• Messenger Platform Policy, including the 24-hour messaging window
• Any restrictions on message content types or volume

You acknowledge that Meta may modify, suspend, or discontinue access to their APIs at any time, which may affect BondhuBot's functionality. We are not responsible for service disruptions caused by Meta's platform changes.

4. AI-Generated Responses

BondhuBot uses artificial intelligence to generate responses to customer messages. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI responses may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for specific situations.

You acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for monitoring AI conversations on your Page
• You must maintain human oversight and correct inaccurate responses when needed
• BondhuBot is a tool to assist — not replace — human judgment in sensitive matters
• You should disclose the use of AI to your customers where legally required

5. Data Ownership

Conversation data between you and Bondhu Labs' Facebook Page is governed by our Privacy Policy. You grant Bondhu Labs a limited license to use aggregated, de-identified conversation data to improve the Service.

6. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by Meta's platform issues, internet infrastructure failures, or force majeure events.

7. No Charges

BondhuBot is currently offered free of charge on Bondhu Labs' Facebook Page. No fees, subscriptions, or payments apply. If this changes in the future, we will update these Terms with reasonable advance notice.

8. Termination

Either party may end the interaction at any time. Upon request, we will delete your conversation data within 30 days unless legally required to retain it (see our Data Deletion page). We may suspend or block access immediately for violations of these Terms or for legal compliance reasons.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bondhu Labs' total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to BDT 1,000 or the equivalent minimum permitted under applicable law, whichever is higher. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if advised of the possibility.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Bondhu Labs harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' advance notice for material changes. Notice will be provided via the website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
